Kelly Clarkson “Dark Side”
This beautiful song is the latest release from the original American Idol who has produced so many awesome anthems and is my choice song for the week.
xoxo Love it!

I love fashion but I’m not a fashion slave and I don’t follow all the fashion houses to see what is happening each season. So my fashion forecasting is really sourced through celeb’s interruption of each season’s fashion trends and spending hours combing the racks of clothing stores.
Gwen Stefani is my standout fashion idol, I simply love her edgy style and how she always looks stylish regardless of what she is wearing. Granted she probably has an army getting her ready for events but her day-to-day look is equally inspiring. I love to add a twist to any outfit just to personalize it and make it more me and I think Gwen does this really well…hence the reason I keep a close eye on what she is wearing.
Victoria Beckham is a second favorite, granted she is super skinning so almost anything looks good on her and I find her very stuck in a look at the moment but she rarely puts a foot wrong. I especially like her more casual look, I find her formal looks can sometimes border on the too structured-for-my-liking but they work for her.
Finally, not the happiest looking Kardashian sister but certainly the best dressing… Kourtney Karadashian is always edgy and fearless in her interpretation of trends. Her choices really range and she owns every outfit she wears. Her outfits from day to night are always on mark. And she isn’t afraid to mix it up, wearing pants, skirts, dresses, heels and flats. She isn’t stuck in the Kardashian mould of skin-tight-cush-and-tush-enhancer dressing favored by Kim.
Now during the week I literally throw on anything that is available in my closet and doesn’t require too much imagination, so I’ve decided to start a 30-day clothe diary with the intention of getting me out of slump and see how far I can stretch my imagination to mix and match. So watch out for my upcoming entries but in the meantime enjoy Gwen, Victoria and Kourtney
NEW YORK LOFT OASIS
I’m obsessed with beauty and luxury and in all honesty I spend a lot of time (and often money) trawling the internet and buying magazines in my attempt to feed my fashion, home and food appetite.
And while catching up on some sleaze on Daily Mail yesterday, I came across this beautiful New York apartment the work of architect Brian Messana. Brian has transformed an old existing industrial sprinkler tank house into a beautiful contemporary urban retreat.
Wonderful creative work and stunning new use of an existing building.
Today’s my mom’s birthday and it’s dedication to her that my pick for the day be Billy Idols White Wedding. A song from the mid eighties…punk and fun
Pain is temporary, pride is forever
So the excitement of the days snow is a fading memory and the weather temperature drops further this evening, I’m snuggled up on the couch eating cheesy macaroni and watching the London Olympics.
Gas heater is pumping, dinner is served and another evening of sporting dedication has began.
Imagine by John Lennon, possibly the best song written & performed and perfect for Sunday evening listening.
'…no need for greed or hunger..'
The delights of colder days can be found in the warmth of a bowl of stew! As the days in the southern hemisphere start to shorten and the evenings start to get frosty in Jozi only one thing makes me feel better about the prospect of our short but bitter winter…and that’s the delight of winter cooking. Today, has been both grey and rather chilling and when my partner asked what I’d like for dinner there was only once answer, an oxtail stew. To my delight, as I walked through the doors after a long day at the office, I was hit by the aroma of a stew gently brewing on the hob, the smell soaking through the house, all I can say is welcome winter.
The Easter weekend is almost upon us and there is so much to do this weekend, from the fit and fabulous to the funky and happening this is definitely a weekend that has a lot in store. So in 8 short hours time, I’ll be kicking my long weekend of family, friends and fabulousity off and I look forward to each day of this 4 day weekend.
Some things to be aware of this weekend, if you short on inspiration:
1. Rand Easter Show is running this weekend, I haven’t been in years but I hear its still worth a visit
2. Saturday is the most beautiful marathon, the Two Oceans 1/2 and full marathon. If you in Cape Town get out and support and if you not turn into one of the SABC channels while under the covers (at least that’s where I’ll be)
3. I’ll be trying out the Good neighbour market in Braamfontein on Saturday, I recently visited the Cape Town market and was blown away by the food selection
4. The Phantom of the Opera is running and well worth the ticket price if you can get a ticket. I’ve seen it twice and I’ve absolutely loved both shows.
5. Madame Zingara is running in Jozi and tickets are scarce (I’m still waiting for a call back) but its really the event to experience.
6. Spend time with the family or friends.
There really is so much fun activities to do this weekend, what are your plans?
I love chocolate, oh yes I do.
Eating chocolate is a must too.
I love chocolate, how about you?
They say dark chocolate is now good for you too.
I would eat chocolate while watching Mr. Magoo.
I would eat chocolate instead of dodo.
I like a good chocolate candy bar.
I would even eat chocolate from a jar.
I want to eat chocolate all day long.
Eating too much chocolate may be wrong.
They need to write about chocolate in a song.
Some people eat chocolate just to belong.
I would even eat chocolate in my Froot Loops
I would even eat chocolate with a big group.
